Head Start Clinics
WHY HEAD START CLINICS ARE IMPORTANT
Clinics are one or two-week sessions, every day (Monday-Friday), and are intensive swim programs for all swimmers.
$107.50 for a one-week clinic
$215 for a two-week clinic
Water is fun but it can be dangerous. We live in a state where it’s warm nine out of twelve months of the year. Water is very much a part of our daily lives.
And for that reason, there are pools everywhere. Not just pools but lakes, rivers, quarries, creeks, and the ocean.
There are so many bodies of water in Texas. In fact, we have over 3,300 miles of coastline in this state. That is a lot of beaches to go to!
With that being said, there’s lots of recreational swimming to do and you have to know how to swim if you really want to enjoy it!
Learning how to swim and be water safe can help you be aware of your surroundings and know what to do in case of an accident.
WHY HEAD START IS IMPORTANT
We believe that together we can reduce the incidence of drowning and aquatic injuries in the US and abroad.
Maybe your child is
● Heading to a summer camp and has not taken swimming lessons in a while
● Water safety skills need to be reinforced because you now have access to swimming at your home.
● Swimming Skills from one of our swim programs need some confidence building
● Peace of mind knowing that your child has self-reliant water safety skills to be safe n the water.
Head start clinics are focused on keeping those important life-saving skills keen and sharp year-round.
With the perpetual swimming lessons model, it is easy for busy parents to balance their schedules with the importance of keeping their children’s swimming skills up to date.
Whether you just started swimming or are part of the Pengu Swim Academy, Head start clinics are designed for all levels of swimmers. Seasoned swimmers might need extra attention on a specific stroke technique while young swimmers might need to focus on water safety. Repetition leads to confidence and success.
The benefits of perpetual swimming lessons are well documented. The Washington Times reported on an Australian study conducted by the Griffith Institute for Educational Research that found “that the younger the child began swimming lessons and the longer they continued, the greater the benefits. Benefits come not only in the form of reaching physical developmental milestones early but also those involving language and mathematics.”
